NFCDA Members raise money for the Somerset Farmers
With continuing difficulties for farmers on the flooded land in Somerset, the Royal Bath and West of England Society have been approached by several businesses and individuals to receive and distribute financial support for those who are affected - particularly as the flood waters recede and they have to try to rescue their land and stock from the effects of the crisis. This fund will be co-managed with a number of agencies and redirected to farming businesses to help their recovery.
At our AGM on Friday 7th March 2014, NFCDA members held a collection in support of these farmers, and a respectable £325.00 was raised and donated via their justgiving page.
